An active journey to 100 unique bucket hats handcrafted from thrifted or donated fabrics and various textile waste from previous projects
The first tote pictured started as an art piece to blow off steam (by obliterating an ex’s jeans). Over time, creating these bags has become a long-term upcycling project. Each one is handsewn from one pair of thrifted denim jeans and lined with leftover satin or polyester fabric from previous projects.
DesMoney, creator of brands “Chicago Girls” and “We All We Got”, employed my help for his Adidas Originals x Chicago Girls Do It Better collab lookbook. For this project I designed and hand-sewed original apparel including CGDIB coin pouch, reversible satin athletic shorts and ribbon lace-up jeans; as well as cropping his signature ‘Chicago Girls’ hoodies.
